2nd Block Juniors Classes Begin!

We just began a new set of Juniors Classes and they got off to a great start.  Thanks to our new mentors and assistants, we know our students are being inspired with great material and excitement!

Oceans with Ms. Sharp started because her son had an interest in learning more about the ocean.  What a great reason to have a class!  Here are a few pics of the first day of class where the students are creating the baskets that will hold the shells they earn through their learning experiences:

Body Matters is co-mentored by Ms. Larsen and Ms. Nieman.  This class promises to cover a wide range of all matters of our incredible human bodies.  The first day was full of a variety of experiments showing us the importance of all the senses in our bodies.  Way to go guys!

Stations continued with Ms. Fluckiger as the mentor and the kids were pretty excited about building this great fort while exploring other stations and discussions about building and constructing.

Storytime continued with a great set of Math books and experiences to excite our young learners.  And who doesn't like to learn math when it involves M&M's and food!

Bring Your Own Genius (BYOG) continued with a lesson on Helen Keller and the deaf culture by Ms. Baugh.

Looking forward to this great set of new classes and mentors.  Another HUGE thank you to all!

Family Ball 2015

"Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ear!"

This year's Ball was a great success!  Thank you to all who made it possible for our families to come together and have a blast.  We started the evening with a few presentations from our Pyramid Project Mentors.  Way to go ladies!  Following that we heard our Key of Liberty Scholars recite and act out 'Paul Revere's Ride', with a Caesar twist. :)

Finally we watched a 30 minute Julius Caesar lay put on by our Shakespeare Conquest Students.  Great job to all!  We understand there was not much time to memorize and collaborate, but our students are up to any challenge!  It turned out great!

Then the party began!

Again, THANK YOU to all who made this night possible.  Here's to the beginning of another great semester of LETRS!

Christmas Around the World Performance

Our Music Around the World Class finished their semester with an exciting performance of song and dance representing 6 different countries around the world.  Thank you to Ms. Larsen and Ms. Jacobson for all your hard work to organize and inspire these great kids with your musical talents.  It was a great program!
